Long Division

What are you doing when you do long division? When you do addition, you draw a line under the numbers and add them up. Same for subtraction, except you subtract instead of add. And for multiplication you draw a line under the numbers and multiply. But for long division it’s not so simple. Seven Deadly Sins

Lust isn’t really that bad. I mean, against the background of the Russian bombing of civilian apartment buildings in Kiev or the slaughter of starving women and children in Gaza it looks like welcome relievf.

January

January came to an end and I neglected to point out that January is officially National Soup Month. Maybe you already knew that, but I didn’t. It sounds reasonable and, besides, I was making soup even before I was told it was National Soup Month.

Bitcoin

You’ve probably heard of bitcoin – or should it be capitalized, Bitcoin? – and if you’ve gone further into it you’ve heard of Blockchain, or blockchain. These are words that a lot of people have heard and don’t understand. But bitcoin sounds like money, that’s the only thing everyone knows for sure.

A Bogus Classic

It looks like it says something in Latin, but it doesn’t. It’s almost Latin, but it isn’t. And if you had Latin in high school you recognize certain words, almost recognize some of the others, and can’t make sense of the whole thing.
